Become a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist with Integrated Anesthesia Associates’ Nurse Anesthesia Program of Hartford (IAA NAPH). We offer two levels of programs. Learn more, apply now.
Our Advanced Specialization Program is for Master’s degree prepared CRNAs who are certified/re-certified through the NBCRNA. The program offers a 5 semester and an 8 semester option in a hybrid structure (see DNAP Course Sequence – Advanced Specialization). Attendance is required at the beginning of the program, in the fall semester, and at the beginning of the following fall and spring semesters. During the semester, courses meet via distance education using virtual synchronous and asynchronous strategies i.e.c, discussion boards, written assignments, and presentations.
Initial applications for the Advanced Specialization Program are submitted directly to the Graduate Office at CCSU before being reviewed by IAA NAPH. Please review the application instructions before submitting your initial application. Applications received by June 1st of each year will be considered for an interview. Interviews are conducted in the spring and granted to individuals who meet all program requirements — Advanced Specialization. Acceptance decisions are usually made by the end of July. We plan to accept a class of 5. Classes at the university begin in the fall semester (late August or early September).
Due to the sequential nature of the program, transfer credit or advanced standing is not permitted.
