A big congratulations to our newest graduates, Adam Fernandez, MD, and Joshua Falescky,MD, who recently completed their Regional Anesthesia & Acute Pain Medicine Fellowship with the Fairfield County Division of Integrated Anesthesia Associates! Their dedication and hard work have paid off, and we are proud to have had them as part of our team.
On Tuesday, June 20, 2023, a celebration event was held at Bar Taco in Westport, CT. It was a perfect opportunity for IAA’s Fairfield division to come together and honor the accomplishments of our graduates. Attended by IAA’s anesthesiologists and CRNAs who were involved in the Regional Anesthesia & Acute Pain Medicine Fellowship, the event was filled with lively conversations, amazing views of the Long Island Sound, and delicious food.
When reflecting on his fellowship experience, Dr. Falescky recently shared his valuable insights about his time with IAA. He described the program as not only well-rounded but also emphasized the collaborative and supportive nature of the work environment, which created a family-type feel among the team. He shared that while it was difficult to pinpoint just two valuable assets of this program, what stood out the most was the block volume, in addition to the receptiveness to feedback and change within the program.
We also had the privilege of speaking with Dr. Fernandez about his experience in the fellowship program. Dr. Fernandez highlighted the exceptional qualities of both the leadership and house staff involved in his training. Having completed the fellowship, he shared it has bettered his understanding of what it means to work as a productive perioperative team member and has ultimately left the program feeling like a more complete anesthesiologist.
We would also like to acknowledge the amazing leadership and guidance from IAA Anesthesiologist Dr. Vlad Frenk, who serves as the Fellowship Program Director, and Dr. Theresa Bowling, who has been instrumental as the Assistant Program Director.
Once again, congratulations to Dr. Adam Fernandez and Dr. Joshua Falescky on completing the fellowship and embarking on the next chapter of their careers. We are confident that they will continue to excel and make significant contributions to the field of anesthesiology. We are beyond proud to have had them as part of the IAA family!
