Congratulations to IAA’s Trevor Sutton, MD, MBA, CPE! As an ASA Mentoring Grant 2022 recipient, Dr. Sutton is being honored at this year’s ASA2022 for his work to foster diversity within ASA mentorship.

The program provides funding up to $5,000 to mentor/mentee pairs who submit a project that addresses the goals of the Committee on Professional Diversity. The mission of the Committee on Professional Diversity is to promote membership and support members of diverse backgrounds, which include gender, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, disability , and religious affiliation.

Dr. Sutton is being honored for the following project:

Improving Utilization of Cardiovascular Procedures by African American and Hispanic Populations at Hartford Healthcare: A Health Equity Initiative at The Hartford Hospital Community Health Center

In addition to this weekend’s honor, Dr. Sutton is also a new member of the ASA Professional Diversity Mentoring Committee and a member of the Connecticut Society of Anesthesiologists Delegation to the New England Caucus and the ASA House of Delegates!
