Nomita Bhawal, MD, FASA, FASE from the IAA-Fairfield division recently presented at a National Cardiovascular and Thoracic Anesthesiologists Conference in India where she gave two insightful and well-received talks.
Her first, titled “Near Misses in Cath Lab” focused on complications during structural heart procedures and their successful management, highlighting the critical role of quick decision-making and team coordination.
Her second presentation, “Echo Guidance During Mitraclip and Watchman Procedure”, illustrated the pivotal role TEE plays in the successful deployment of these devices.
In addition, Dr. Bhawal participated as a panelist at the Cath Lab Procedures Panel. Several aspects of these procedures were discussed, and questions were answered.
