Treating Chronic Conditions with Ketamine

The Use of Ketamine in the Treatment of Chronic Conditions.

Chronic disorders such as depression, anxiety, OCD, PTSD, and some chronic pain disorders share a common feature of failed communication or nerve tissues within the central nervous system. Contacts between neurons is lost over time due to the chronic nature of these conditions.  Ketamine promotes regrowth of axons, and the reformation of these neuronal connections.

Fifty Years of Success

Ketamine is an anesthetic medication developed over 50 years ago. It has been used extensively in trauma and emergency situations. Unlike other anesthetic agents, Ketamine does not cause respiratory depression. Dosages used in the treatment of chronic psychiatric disorders or pain syndromes are typically one half to one third of a typical dose used for anesthesia and surgery. In addition, because our treatments are given as a slow drip (intravenous infusion), dangerous side effects are rarely seen.
