About the Program

The UConn School of Medicine Residency Program in Anesthesiology offers world-class simulation and a comprehensive didactic program where residents are assigned based upon educational rather than service needs. The program offers small classes (9 per year, no fellows) which allows residents to access the best teaching cases. The program boasts an excellent case variety: thoracic, neuro, pediatric, pain, cardiac, transplant, level 1 trauma center and extensive anesthesia experience. With 4 hospitals, 3 outpatient surgery centers, 2 private practices and ~60,000 anethetics annually, you’ll receive an exceptional and highly satisfactory experience.
