Patient Safety and Quality of Care Paramount for Mark Indelicato, M.D. and IAA Partners

As a champion of patient safety, the team at Integrated Anesthesia Associates continuously strives to ensure that best practices are identified, implemented and maintained at every turn.

To that end, Integrated Anesthesia Associates’ Dr. Mark Indelicato continued this commitment last week as the Practice’s representative at this year’s APSF-sponsored conference presented at the Royal Palms Arizona Resort.

This invitation-only gathering of Anesthesia professionals focuses on Patient Safety; Distractions in the Anesthesia Work Environment, Production Pressures and Large Anesthesia/Practice Management Groups.

APSF and its members believe that distractions that may have the potential to impact patient safety need to be identified and addressed by open discussion, education, research and appropriate policy statements for individual groups or practice management entities.

“A culture of patient safety doesn’t happen overnight. It’s a commitment and a priority that continuously improves over time”, says Dr. Mark Indelicato. “Our commitment began in 1971 and remains our number one ongoing priority for the practice, each member of our staff and the anesthesiology practice management clients we service. As we seek to improve reliability, we decrease the chance of errors occurring and create best-case practices for managing errors should they manifest.”
